How time flies! Siris is turning one!!! Ahhh! Soon I will have two toddlers. I wonder what exciting things are in store for our family when that time comes…
For Siris’ first birthday, we decided not to do a big party. I, because I’m the one who usually decides these things, decided that we just keep it small and simple for Siris’ first birthday, and just splurge on our upcoming trip this October. Because that trip would be for three celebrations already (Siris turning 1, Light turning 4 and my husband and I celebrating our 6th year anniversary). So I must remember simple and less for Siris haha. I don’t want to end up going beyond our budget again.
But at the same time, we felt like we wanted Siris’ party to have something special too. We felt like having lunch with close friends and family is just too simple for a first birthday. So the arts and craftsy mommy in me kicked in. Aside from putting some DIY decors (that I hope will look nice), I also plan to have a guest-scrap book area in the venue. Hence, this unboxing post. The guests will be snapping away using this Fujifilm Instax Mini 9, and putting their photos on a scrapbook.
This snapping away with the Instax Mini 9 will serve as a fun activity/memorabilia/souvenir for the event. I will actually hit a lot of birds with this one “stone” because not only will I save money from not hiring a photographer anymore, I will also save time making an album for Siris’ first birthday because the scrapbook will serve as that already. The guest can snap away and instantly bring home their souvenir photos too. See? 🙂
Anyway, I’m just excited about that part of the party. On to the Unboxing of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 9!
I ordered this camera from Shopee. I’m kind of hooked at Shopee at the moment haha. But I found the cheapest price of Instax Mini 9 there so yey! I bought the camera and the extra films from the same seller.
I purchased the Instax Mini 9 Sakura Package because it was just more worth it than getting only the camera. I got the Sakura Package at Php 3,999 plus shipping fee. It already came with all those stuff above (except the 3 extra boxes of films). Those I got at a good deal too, though. They were Php 579 per box which had 20 films already.
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Sakura Package had the following:
- Instax Mini 9 Cam of your color of choice
- 1 pack of 10 films
- 1 album
- 1 mirror thing that you can stick at the back of your photo
- 1 standing frame
- 3 pcs photo card? with stickers
- 1 camera bag
The camera box had the following inside:
- Camera
- Camera strap
- 2 – AA batteries
- 1 macro lens or the close up lens
- manuals
- instax sticker
Of course I had to check it out, even though I should be saving on film for Siris’ birthday. I mean how can you resist not snapping away with this camera!
