PLUS My Son Got Traumatised At HongKong Disneyland!
Yes, it’s true. I can’t decide yet if I should be worried about it but after getting back from our trip, every time he hears “who’s that?” or “look!”, he would squeal and run to me or his dad.
Okay, it is a little cute and funny, especially to his sister, who gets a laugh at “scaring” her little brother. My theory is that because we would always say to him whenever we saw a mascot at Disneyland “who’s that?” or “look, it’s Mickey”, and he wouldn’t like it when they got too close. So I think it kind of stuck on him, those words. And up until now as I write this post, he would still get “scared” when he hears it.
Anyway, we are invading the world of Youtube and have started vlogging. Yey! 🙂 Here’s the first and second parts of our Hongkong trip. The third installation is still in the works. I’ll be sure to update this once it’s ready. 🙂 [Part 3 of our Hongkong trip added below!]
It was a much awaited and much needed getaway for all of us. We, by we I mean I, tried to keep it light and not worry about anything too much. And really, just enjoy our vacation. In short, I tried not to be such a mom haha! The year has been such a busy year for me and this five day break from all the duties has been so welcoming.
So, a final thought. I didn’t think we needed a stroller before. We didn’t bring one when we had our first out of the country trip with Light. But this time around, since we got a good one from a good friend as their gift to Siris on his first birthday, we decided to just bring it along. And it was a saver! I can’t imagine traveling without a stroller again! Haha!
For this first part of our Hongkong Family trip, we explored the city. The highlight, I would say, was the Hongkong Science Museum. Enjoy our city adventure below.
For part two, we started our Disneyland adventure. We had a wonderful time dining and meeting the Disney characters at Disneyland Hotel’s Enchanted Garden. I believe this was where Siris got “traumatized”. 🙁
Nevertheless, we had such an amazing family time at Hongkong Disneyland. We hope to be able to come back again, perhaps when Siris is a bit older. 🙂
