It’s been a year of uncertainties, lockdowns and lots of adjusting for us. I have to say though, considering all that has happened and is still happening, our family has done okay. There is still a cha-cha dance going on with the world. One minute we’re moving forward, coping and living with this virus. The next, we’re put at a halt as surges happen and we’re back to another lockdown. We’re reminded once again that it’s so not over.
Thus our journey continues. What was once new has become the norm. We are constantly adapting. You barely remember the time before Covid. And I find myself making a space in the drawer for our face masks, together with other day to day items.
Anyway, here’s our pandemic journey so far…
Successfully potty trained this boy, YES!
Continued with our reading journey

Err.. maybe not the most accurate photo ^_^.

I can read!
Slowly outgrowing this pool that we bought because (and at the beginning) of the lockdown/pandemic

Haircuts at home and the first one done by a professional EVER

Got pets

NO, it’s not a dog.

We got a pet turtle…

…and some birds.
That time when going out felt weird and strange

And we had to stick with outdoor activities just to be sure.

Who doesn’t love ice cream, right?
Our first out of town trip
And first plane ride (such a big deal!)

We got to go to Balesin Island. Wanna watch our VLOG? Click here.

Look at this boy enjoying his cup of hot choco.
First mall trip

the last time Siris rode an escalator was when he just turned two
Went on our first camping trip, then had a camping themed party

We definitely made good use of the tent. 😛
Two pandemic birthdays, going 3 since we’re technically still in a pandemic, right?

The first pandemic birthday set up for Siris’ 3rd birthday last year 2020 was a dino themed party.

The second pandemic birthday was year 2021 for his 4th birthday.
I even vlogged it this time around.
Building stronger friendships
Went to our first “big” party

This is us posing with grandpa Gwakong for my sister’s engagement party.

Albeit it was just at home, it was a big occasion for the family.
I even got to make a cool Halloween costume for Siris. I mean, we didn’t go to any trick or treat events. It was purely for our amusement only. But I don’t think I’d make the time to do this costume if we were not in a pandemic (or under normal circumstances).

Happy Halloween!
